Internet Deployment Options
We provide myriad alternatives for distributing trading applications over the Internet or private network. Interactive trading, deal review, and price distribution are available using the following variety of technologies depending upon user operating system, usage, and installation preferences:
- Streaming HTML/JavaScript Super-Thin Client:
Tradesoft has developed a sophisticated streaming HTML interface that installs itself in seconds, is cross-platform, and does not require any special configuration at the user site. If the user can view HTML pages and connect using SSL to popular web sites such as Amazon.com® or Yahoo! Shopping ®, then the user can log on to our HTML trading interface and receive “pushed” prices that update in real-time without the need for page refresh.
- Java Thin Client:
The Tradesoft Java Thin Client allows the trader to view real-time prices, execute orders, and view deal information using cross-platform Java technology.
- Win32 Thin Client:
Similar to the Java Thin Client in functionality, the Win32 client is sized for lightweight download and installation over the Internet and enables interactive trading, price distribution, and deal review using Microsoft Windows technology. The Win32 Thin Client can be run on Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, or ME.
- Win32 Power User Station:
For advanced order management, linkage to outside pricing models, linking orders to other markets (swap orders), graphical order book display, and detailed monitoring of market activity, users can use the Win32 Power User Station. Intended for the heavy-duty user, this mature product provides the maximum amount of functionality for managing multiple orders, monitoring activity of other users within the same institution, and manipulation of tiered pricing and risk management parameters.
